01 / OVERVIEW

Team communication, in one place

Instead of handling every message individually, the team can work from a shared inbox and keep conversations organized together.

01

Shared visibility

Connect multiple mailboxes and give the team a central place to read and reply to conversations.

02

Clear workflows

Use statuses, priorities and tags to organize messages and make the next action easier to identify.

03

Team collaboration

Add internal comments to share context with teammates without putting those notes in customer replies.

02 / FEATURES

Everything the team needs to stay organized

IMB combines shared email access with lightweight helpdesk-style organization.

Multiple connected mailboxes

Bring supported mailboxes into one shared interface instead of switching between services.

APPLICATION

Application logic and service integration

D1 Relational data
KV Key-value storage

Mail content is retrieved from the connected mail service. According to the project's design, IMB does not copy or store email content in its own database.

05 / AUTHENTICATION

One identity system: Latch

IMB relies on Imperial's Latch licensing and authentication system rather than maintaining a separate password and account system of its own.

IMPERIAL AUTHENTICATION

Latch integration

User access is handled through Latch. IMB does not manage its own user passwords or standalone accounts.

06 / PRIVACY

Your emails stay with your mail provider

IMB is designed to store the collaboration data it adds, rather than duplicating the content of your email conversations.

What IMB stores

  • Conversation statuses and priorities
  • Tags and internal comments
  • User profiles and display preferences
  • Identifiers and credentials required to connect mailboxes

What IMB does not store

According to the project's design, email content is read live from Gmail or Outlook and is not copied into IMB's own storage.

Data requests: requests relating to stored data are handled, but no specific response timeframe is guaranteed.

07 / PROJECT STATUS

Functional and feature-complete

The planned features are complete and IMB is functional. Its source repository is private.
